Love and Support

Luke 6:31 says to treat others the way you want to be treated. How often I wish people would heed these words of Jesus. I have some amazing people in my life. But I also have some people who really tear me apart. This week I’ve learned that the people who tear me apart are also my teachers. I have learned a lot from them! The biggest thing I’ve learned is that it is incredibly important to treat others the way you want to be treated. But I’ve also learned, or rather realized, that you don’t give up on people! It is known by you already, if you follow me, that I am an Associate with Max International. This week I started reading the book “Building an Empire” by Brian Carruthers. This morning I read chapter 4 in this book. One of the things this book talks about is how to be a great sponsor. The biggest thing I got out of it was to be a great sponsor you have to inspire others to go after their dreams. One thing you don’t do EVER is to speak negatively or disbelieving to your downline. This is something that also applies to our lives in general. If you want to have a friend, you have to be a friend. You don’t speak negatively or disbelieving to your friends. There may be times that you have to tell someone that they need to make suggestions to your friends, but this can be done nicely without tearing them apart. This policy also applies to family.  It boils down to believing and having faith in people. If you have faith in people you will look for the best in them. Sometimes it can be hard to see the best in people, but it is so worth it! I have several new friends. Some of them have little to no support in their lives. Not even in their families. That is sad and I know first-hand how bad it hurts to not have your family believe in you. You may be the only person in your friend’s life that believes in them. Or in other words, and I say this because it is known that I am a Christian, you may be the only Jesus your friend ever meets. Jesus was grew in wisdom and in stature, and in favor with God & man (Luke 2:52). If He grew in favor with God & man,  that shows that He was kind. I strive to be the best friend I can to people. I am always looking for the good in people.  I learned years ago that if you choose to see the positive in people and they see this, then you will attract positive people. You attract the kind of person you are. Do you want to attract positive people, then be positive. You may be the person that takes a negative person and inspires them to be a positive person. So my point in this is this:

  1. Treat people the way you want to be treated.
  2. Be kind! You may be the only friend that person may have.
  3. Look for the positive in everyone you meet. It will pay off in the end.

Have a blessed week.
